MARCO ALBIERO
Biography
Marco Albiero (3 May 1981) is an Italian illustrator, cartoonist, character designer and mangaka.
He published his first comics when he was sixteen years old, after winning a contest held by Rock&Comics publishing, with the “Mr Spot” – “166 – Call Me” manga (1998), while he was attending a professional course of editorial graphics.
He has been employed by several publishing and comic books houses as a manga writer and illustrator with “Tama Girl”(1999), “Janette Darc” (2000), “My Virtual Boy” (2001) – Panini, “Il Ruggito del Campione” (2002) – Milan AC, “Vale e Tati – Forever Friends” in the weekly magazine Pop’s (2005) – Edizioni Cioè.
His illustrations can be found on the CD cover of “Fivelandia 18” and “Pokémon e Dragon Ball Dance Compilation” (2000) – R.T.I. Music.
He collaborated as an illustrator for the “Targten”, “Magic Weel Mistress” and “Megaslot” videogame (2002) – Qubica-Nextia.
He created the logo for the “Fumettopoli” comic exhibition which takes place in Milan (2003/2017), for “Manga Dax” comic fair in France (2013/2017), “Animesse Berlin” in Germany (2017-2018) and “Japan Icons” in Rimini (2017).
Marathon Animation hired him to make the French comic books of “Totally Spies” along with several illustrations for their style guide (2005).
He also made some illustrations for the style guide and collaborated to some publications of the “Gormiti” series (2008).
For the Marathon Animation he collaborated to the character design and the clean up of the second season villains in the cartoon “Redakai” (2011), of which he also made comic strips episodes (2012).

He was asked to collaborate to the column “Parola di…” of the collectable “Disegna Manga & Anime” (2009) – De Agostini.
Simultaneously with the international relaunch of the anime, he made the drawings of the international style guide for the series “Sailor Moon”, “Sailor Moon R”, “Sailor Moon S”, “Sailor Moon SuperS” and “Sailor Moon Sailor Star” (2009) Backstage – Toei Animation. Naoko Takeuchi PNP.
He drew the illustrations of the DVD covers of the series “Captain Tsubasa”, “Captain Tsubasa Road to 2002” (2012), “Attacker YOU!”, “New Attacker YOU!” (2014), “Ashita no Joe” and “Ashita no Joe 2” (2015) – Gazzetta dello Sport – Yamato Video and for the DVD-BlueRay “Versailles no Bara – Lady Oscar” – Anime LTD (2015).
Since 2012 he has been collaborating as a digital colouring teacher with the “Accademia Europea di Manga”, unique European partner of “Yoyogi Animation Gakuin”.
He is currently working as an illustrator and character designer of the game series “Witch & Bitch”, “SQUILLO Deep Space 69” – Freack & Chic S.r.l. “AnimanQuiz”, “SpaceStunt2” – YumeGears.
